Using a virtual learning community and an annual three-day summit, we bring together diverse voices and use the design process to develop shared understandings and action steps for change.

The Lovett School
The Lovett School is an accredited K-12 independent day school located on the banks of the Chattahoochee River in northwest Atlanta. Founded in 1926, the school's curriculum emphasizes the development of the whole child.

Creative and critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and a love of learning are major objectives. An educational leader in the Atlanta area, Lovett is earning a reputation for its innovative thinking, strategic partnerships, and emphasis on developing 21st century learners.

Be Playful
Be Playful is a collaborative studio designing the future of learning. It is a group of multi-disciplinary designers and visionaries that are madly curious about what learning will look like in the years to come. They use design as a mindset and methodology to work with and empower people, clients, organizations, and schools.

The initial focus of Reimagine : Ed will be to explore the role of the library and its potential as a center of learning and engagement in our communities.

In an age of information abundance, rapid technological change, social-construction of knowledge, and a debate on the definition of literacy, the library has an unprecedented opportunity to lead our communities.
Next Chapter > The Future of K-12 Libraries assembled leaders and practitioners to engage one another in design teams to reimagine libraries that are dynamic hubs and catalysts for learning and change.
The three-day summit in September and our virtual learning community offered participants the opportunity to learn about and assist in the design of the Next Chapter for libraries.
